Senior Recovery Program

The Senior Recovery Program is a nonprofit organization providing both treatment and ongoing support for men and women, 50 years of age or older, who are abusing or have become dependent on alcohol, street drugs or prescribed medications.

Over our 37 years of experience treating seniors, we have seen time and time again that their success has been positively affected by going through the process with members of the same age group.

· A common age group enables individuals to relate better in the sharing of their present living issues and their past life experiences.

· Shame and guilt, which is very common in this age group, is reduced by this interaction and sharing with others their own age.

· Individuals are more receptive to learning and understanding when the information comes from individuals whom they consider their peers.
